First-year Biomedical Engineering Master's student Alex Santos discusses the struggles of Women in STEM and shares her expertise on achieving academic success.
Alex completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto majoring in neuroscience and pharmacology. Her research focuses on testing different cannabis compounds and anti-seizure drugs in an organoid model of epilepsy to investigate their anti-seize mechanisms and efficacy.
Through combining art, mindfulness, and activism, Pakistani-Canadian art-ivist, Christeen Salik, makes arts-based wellness more accessible for her peers and encourages its use as a medium of inner healing and solidarity work.
Christeen is the mindfulness facilitator, Founder and Creative Director of Healing Hearts through Art.
Destiny-Mae is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, and a spoken-word-educator living in Tkaronto. Since she was a pre-teen, Destiny has dedicated and continues to dedicate any opportunity to claim space and community for Black students within Tkaronto schools.

Destiny is committed to calling for awareness and action to ensure schools are included in the process of liberating Black and Indigenous students.
Recently appointed Richard & Elizabeth Currie Chief, Education & Programming at the AGO, Dr. Audrey Hudson has previously worked to lead strategies on school programs and deliver innovative early childhood programs.

Dr. Hudson is an artist, researcher, and educator who serves on the Editorial Board of the journal Art Education and engages in community mentorship by working with marginalized women at Sistering/Inspirations.
Simmi Chacko founded Chacko Law after her role as in-house counsel at Cisco Systems Canada, Telus, Great Canadian Gaming Corp., MDA Corp & Tech Mahindra. In her previous roles, she acted as counsel for businesses ranging in size from start-up entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies.
Over the past 16 years, she has been advising and leading companies and individuals on Technology, Finance, Commercial, Intellectual Property, Real Estate, Media and Corporate matters.
